Maia von MalaiséResearch, Events and Strategy Associate

Maia joined Wild Search in 2024 after graduating with a first-class BA in Theology from the University of Cambridge.

Formerly Head of Operations, Maia now works as an adviser across candidate research and business strategy. Her focus is mapping and expanding the Wild Search network, identifying prospective candidates and engaging with those not actively seeking roles. She contributes to Wild Research, most recently assisting in the publication of our 34th report, Synergies for Success: Making Education Groups Work.

Whilst at Cambridge, Maia worked as a production assistant for Theatreship, a non-profit floating arts centre, on their inaugural BFI Powell and Pressburger festival and for Watersprite, the largest student film festival in the world, coordinating judging for 1000+ films and collating industry juries. She has interned for the publishing house, Thames and Hudson, and music production company, BMG. She is a highly experienced tutor of children of all ages.

At Cambridge, she wrote, directed and performed in over 25 productions, including for the Footlights. She earned colours in university netball, blades in rowing and was elected as a Bell-Wade scholar at Gonville and Caius College. She also wrote for ‘The Cambridge Student’ newspaper.

Maia grew up in London and is half-German. She enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking and running.
