This panel discussion will address the transformation of global education provision since the pandemic. There have been steep learning curves and it is important to digest these and consider how the landscape might evolve going forward. Discussions will include the extent to which, and in what ways, the move to online and blended learning since the pandemic will lead to permanent change and whether this is now the only way forward for education providers, as well as the challenges and potential pitfalls of this direction of travel. The debate will also explore the role that innovative technology solutions can play to meet the current challenges facing the sector, and to explore new opportunities for technology to deliver an enhanced learning experience.

Though contributors approach the question from a variety of the types of schools, age ranges and levels, they all share a belief that the quality of teaching and learning matters at every stage in the educational process. The question they answer has never been more relevant than in early 2021, following a twelve month period in which schools, colleges and universities have had to adapt rapidly to online and blended learning and teachers have had to master new media and skills and take on responsibilities which they have never had to address before.

Webinar “Charting a New Chapter: How To Establish And Maintain a Portfolio Career”

In this webinar for The Financial Services Club, Edward Wild, founder of Wild Search, shared his experience of advising on non executive and trustee appointments over more than a decade. It was aimed at those either considering their first non executive role, or seeking to combine a number of such roles following their executive career. It was also of use to those seeking non executives or trustees for their organisation, as it is important to understand the motivations of those taking this route so as to secure the best people and retain them.
