Non-Executive Directors, HMC

The application deadline for this role has passed

HMC (The Heads’ Conference) is a thriving, proactive association of heads of some of the world’s leading independent schools. Founded in 1869, HMC was the world’s first association of headteachers and currently consists of over 300 members in the British Isles – educating more than 270,000 pupils – and around 50 further members across the globe. Whilst each institution is individual and distinctive, the HMC unites its membership with an inviolate principle of offering a holistic educational experience for young people, blending academic excellence with strong pastoral care and ambitious co-curricular provision.  As part of its commitment to embracing change and diversity HMC now seeks to appoint two additional, external board members who will bring a combination of skills, policy experience and perspective to the board’s deliberations and who will share its commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

HMC is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion amongst its team, members, schools and wider communities and aims to create a welcoming workplace in which difference is celebrated. HMC understands that diversity makes us stronger and that discrimination diminishes us all. In nurturing a welcoming workplace in which difference is celebrated, we are committed to providing equality and opportunity for all.
