Deputy Chief Executive - East of England Agricultural Society

The East of England Agricultural Society is a well established charity which provides a range of educational activities and programmes to increase knowledge and understanding of farming and agriculture through a range of initiatives and associated events for both children and adults, serving and engaging the wider community and a focus for the broad range of agricultural industries. These include conferences, education programmes and livestock events.

The Society is the parent company of the East of England Arena and Event Centre which is based at the showground in Peterborough and is the region’s leading, multi-purpose events venue. All profits from the Area and Event Centre are used to support the Society and its charitable goals.

The Deputy Chief Executive role is a new one and reflects a major change in the way in which the Society works. The postholder will report to the Chief Executive and works closely with the Chair and Board of both the Society and its commercial arm, the Showground Services (SGS). S/he will manage the day to day activities of the Society and oversee SGS.

The East of England Agricultural Society has retained Wild Search to advise them on this appointment.
