Clive Aslet

Clive is an award-winning author, journalist and authority on British Life. A former Editor of Country Life, he still contributes regularly to the magazine. He has toured Britain both for Country Life and books such as Landmarks of Britain and Villages of Britain. His books include: An Exuberant Catalogue of Dreams, which reveals the Americans who are behind the survival of many of Britain's country houses, and a novel, The Birdcage (2014). Wild Search have published Strands of History: Northbank Revealed (2014) and Victoria The Great (2018) in addition to essays and shorter reports to which he has contributed.

Clive is a trustee of Plantlife International and co-founder of the Remember WW1 Campaign which encouraged mass participation in events to remember the centenary of the First World War.
