Anna Thorne
Research Associate

Anna read English at Oxford, graduating with a First in 2015. After graduation she worked for a communications agency with clients in the renewable energy and financial services sectors.

After completing a TEFL qualification, Anna moved to the Syrian border in Jordan in 2016, delivering a full-time English teacher training programme to Syrian teachers in Azraq and Za’atari refugee camps. She has contributed to the Huffington Post and has worked in an orphanage in Haiti and as a women’s officer for Global Hope in Jordan. Anna recently returned to the UK to study for a masters at University College London, in Education, Gender and International Development.

At Wild Search, Anna supports Amy Wevill on research projects and is currently assisting Neil Carmichael with research for his upcoming book Progressive, Productive, Proper: A new reform agenda for Education, which is set to be published in January.
